Sammy V Mann

Sammy Vincent Mann (Papa Sam) went to be with our Lord and Savior, at the age of 82, on July 11, 2022 in Knob Noster, MO. Sammy was born to Barney & Thelma Mann in Ridgeway, PA on June 18, 1940. He was a proud Vietnam veteran that served 26 years in the United States Army before retiring Dec. 31, 1990 in Panama City, FL. His hobbies were watching his favorite tv shows and professional football (Pittsburg Steelers). He liked providing daily commentary on the weather with everyone he spoke with. He also enjoyed eating at the local diners and indulging himself on the dessert menu. His family who will miss him dearly are daughter, Melody (Cory) Wenger of Knob Noster, MO. son, Richard Mann, grandchildren Tiffany Sparks and Richard Mann Jr., and great-grandson Blaine Sparks of Panama City, FL. He leaves behind his brother Frank Mann (Judy) of Ridgeway, PA and sister Margaret Leuschel of St. Marys, PA. Friends will be received at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Funeral services will take place at 12 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Kent-Forest Lawn Chapel. Interment will follow with full Military Honors at Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers the family is asking to donate to the Wounded Warriors Project.
