Samuel "Sam" Maxwell

December 14, 1930 ~ June 22, 2018 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Tribute

Sam, as most knew him, a devoted husband to Louise Maxwell for 69 years. The two of them had 4 sons during these many years. Sam worked hard to provide a good life for his family, was a strong member of the Teamster and in his church.

If you were Sam’s friend, you know either from watching his actions or maybe first hand he would do as much for you as he could and if he gave you his word that is what he would do. Knowing this you also knew if he disagreed with what was happening you would know it.

Sam experienced many hardships in his life but never let them get him down. From watching his parents pass away, losing his only brother and having to see 3 of his sons pass away. Going through all of this he never lost his dignity, his self respect and never felt sorry for himself or ask “why me God”.

Samuel Yancey Maxwell is survived by his wife Louise Maxwell, his son and daughter in law Wayne & Ann Maxwell, 2 nieces, Judy Maxwell & Brenda Maxwell, along with a long list of friends.

Those gathered here today can count ourselves lucky that we where allowed to share such a man in our life’s. As Sam has gone ahome to the promise land, may we keep him in our hearts and look forward to the day we are together again.
