Mrs. Sandra Hobbs Pisani passed away on December 29, 2020 in Panama City, Florida and joined her beloved husband of fifty years, Vincent Fortunato Pisani, in eternal life.
Mrs. Pisani received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Florida. She and her husband moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she was the Director of Nursing for the University of Minnesota Hospital psychiatric units. Later in her career she enjoyed teaching at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota where she shared the wisdom she gained from her years of experience as a director and counselor with her students. After retirement in 1999 they moved back to her hometown of Panama City.
In the years after her return she made many friends and kept in close contact with her long-time friends from Minnesota. They will greatly miss her conversation, counsel and caring. She loved her role as mother and grandmother which brought her much joy. She delighted in talking and visiting with them.
Reading the scriptures, centering prayer and her devotion to God were an essential part of her life.
Her physical absence will be painful but her spirit will remain with us.
Mrs. Pisani was pre-deceased by her beloved, Vincent Fortunato Pisani, and her parents Walter Bascome Hobbs, Jr. and Evelyn Stone Cruce. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Gherity Chandler and her husband John; her granddaughter Alexandra Trieste Chandler; her sister Ann Cruce Tucker and her husband Raymond; her sister-in-law Catherine Pisani Deramo; family members, Roslyn Hein and her husband Gary; John Clayton Chandler.
