Sarah A Pitts

Sarah Allman Pitts, 81, of Panama City, Florida passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at The Residence Covenant Memory Care Center in Pensacola, Florida.

Ms. Pitts moved to Bay County in 1972 from Mississippi. She was a teacher for Bay County schools since 1972 and retired in 2002. Sarah was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dogs, working crossword puzzles, and being outdoors.

She is preceded in death by her sister Myra Ligon.

She is survived by children Janet Bills (Michael Russell), Mitchell Pitts (Patricia), Jon Pitts (Wanda), and Susan Frazier (Jeff); sister Jimmie Sue Keves (Bobby); grandchildren Courtney Hoggarth (Chris), Faith Pitts (Patrick Lindsey), Sarah Byars (Michael), Anna Catherine Bills; great- grandchildren Chance and Cole Hoggarth.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church with a reception to follow.

Family would like to thank the staff and admin. of The Residence Memory Care Center and Covenant Hospice in Pensacola, Florida.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Animal Rescue of the donor’s choice.
