Sharon McDannell

Sharon Jean McDannell “Granny”, 76, of Panama City, Florida, passed away at a local hospital on July 21, 2020. She lived in Panama City, FL for 42 years and is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Sharon was born in Duluth, MN to Wilfred and Amigean Norton. After high school, she married the love of her life, Robert “Mac” Lee McDannell. Sharon was an advocate Nascar and Stockcar fan. Her favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt, Sr. “3”. She loved her granddaughters with all her heart. Her great-grandson, River, was the light of her life.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Robert Lee McDannell; daughter, Terri L. Reed (Ronnie); son, Craig A. McDannell (Kim); granddaughters, Katie M. Reed, Kanah Spencer (Darius), and Leah McDannell, from Charlotte, NC; great-grandson, River J. Pierson; sister, Evett (Charles) Farabee of Tennessee; Debbie (Scott) Herbst of Wisconsin, Carlene (Glen) Ware of Minnesota; brothers, Jimmy, Timmie, and Johnny Norton of Minnesota; cousins, Dale (Carol) Norton of Minnesota, Joyce Norton of Minnesota, Shirley Jukich of Arizona, Roger (Cathy) Antonich of Orgen, and Joe Pauley of Montana; along with her life-long friend and sister-in-law, Karina Purdham of Minnesota and life-long hairdresser, Jan Garner of Panama City.

She is predeceased by her father, Wilfred Norton and mother, Amigean Pauley Norton; brother, Ken Norton; and sister, Betty Lou Hubble.

Memorial services will take place at 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive guests from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
