Teodora A Martin

Dorie Martin went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 28, 2023. Dorie was born in Manilla, Philippines on April 1, 1946 to Cornellio and Natalia Antonio. She had one brother and two sisters. Her parents and siblings preceded her in death. Dorie graduated in 1962 from the St. Joseph Academy in Manilla, Philippines. While now divorced , she met her former husband Herman Martin while he was serving in the United States Air Force. The couple moved to the United States and had one son, Anthony Martin. During her early years in Panama City, she worked at Tyndall Air Force Base as a clerk in the Base Exchange and later as server in the Officer's Club. Dorie had a 25 year career in United States Postal Service from which she retired. After retirement, Dorie visited the Philippines in 2019 for a class reunion.
Dorie was a long -standing member of the Filipino-American Association of Bay County where she had many friends in both the local Filipino and American community. Dorie is survived by her son, Anthony and his wife Jean; long-time partner Jim McBride and their many friends in bay County. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1003 N East Ave, Panama City, FL, with a gathering of friends one hour prior the services.
