Virginia T Oliver

Virginia (Vicky) T. Meléndez Oliver passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Francisca Meléndez of Puerto Rico, siblings Rosalia, Fernando, Celia, Ruben and her adored husband of 58 years MGYSGT (Ret) Rafael C. Oliver.

She is survived by her daughter Aixa Corbitt (Stephen), her grandsons Ruben (Amanda), Benjamin (Justine),
daughter Vicki Krueger (Steven), granddaughters Stephanie (Lucas), Hilary (Jeremy), Valerie (Jason), Kimberly (Rodrick), son Rafael Oliver (Karen), grandchildren Marcus, Rafael, as well as 12 treasured great-grandchildren.
She took pride in being a Marine Corps wife. Ooh rah! She created a loving home at many duty stations and supported her ‘Honey’ in his military career during his 30 years of active duty. Mrs. Oliver (as she was known to the neighborhood children) always welcomed and opened her home to neighborhood kids. She was a wise-cracking neighborhood mother figure, who was supportive and raised many as her own at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. She and her Honey were dedicated neighbors and created life-long relationships with many families wherever they lived. She was a devoted member at First Presbyterian Church in Lynn Haven.

At her request, there will be no service.
