Tech Sergeant, William Howard Melton, USAF, ret., 82 of Panama City, passed away March 21, 2020 at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center. William was born October 24, 1937 in Wilmington, NC to William and Catherine (Collins) Melton. William served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years having also served during this time in the Korean War and two tours of duty in Viet Nam. He is survived by his wife, Gam Thi who resides in Panama City. William is also survived by his children, Cindy (Eddie) Ladnier, Billy (Diane) Melton, Kim Melton Walker, Donnie Melton, Donna (Larry) Mims, Anita Melton and Linda Melton; his grandchildren, Eddie, Jamie & Joseph Ladnier, Jennifer Flores, Shayla Chalker, Donnie, Amber, Danny, Donald, Madison, Evan Melton, Lauren Fisher, Chris & Dustin Jennings and Krystal Drugach. He is also survived by his twenty-four great-grandchildren and two nephews, Shang and Kip Melton. Friends will be received 1-2 pm Wednesday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place that afternoon at 2 pm. Entombment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
