William Franklin Tate

William Franklin Tate, Sr., 71 a life long resident of Panama City, passed away April 2, 2019 at his home. William was born April 18, 1947 to William and Bertha (Floyd) Tate. William was employed with Nature Walk Golf Course as its course superintendent retiring in 2012. He also is the owner of Daddy Franks Bar in Panama City. William loved to golf but his passion was Bass fishing which he did as often as time would allow. He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Connie Lee; his son, Howard; sister, Vivian Carroway and his brothers, John, Fred and Larry. William is survived by his son, William Franklin (Darlene) Jr.; his daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Smith and Patty (John) Keith; his brother, Leonard (Pat); his sisters, Mary Lou (Rudy) Steiner, Ramona (Joe) Finnegan and Janice Lightner; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Friends will be received Tuesday from 1-2 pm at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place that afternoon at 2pm. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
