William "Bill" Tindle

William “Bill” Tindle, age 83, of Panama City, FL, passed away on Monday November 13, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. He was born to Charley and Emma Lou (Pate) Tindle on September 16, 1940, in Plant City, Florida. He served with the United States Army as a military police officer and in 1965 joined the Florida Highway Patrol. Bill rose to the rank of Captain, with his last assignment being the Troop A, Panama City District Commander, retiring in September 2001.
 

Bill is preceded by his parents and his brother Charley Wayne and brother in-law Scott Sanders. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Ruth (Lauderbaugh) Tindle, his sister Jean (Tindle) Sanders, his children William “Billy” Tindle and his wife Sheila Tindle; Tammy Tindle-Husar and her husband Andrew Husar; grandchildren William, and wife Gayle Eric, and wife Shelbey, Denise, Jonathan, Jessica (Dylan), Drew, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on November 16, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, FL 42405. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.

Internment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery immediately following the service.
