William Isham Cordell, Jr., of Panama City Beach, left his earthly body and joined His Heavenly Father on May 20, 2023. He was 75 years old.
Born and raised in Hartwell, Georgia, Bill attended Hart County High School and like a true Georgia Bulldogs’ fan, attended the University of Georgia. Bill worked as a financial planner for more than 30 years and considered his clients extended family.
Bill will be remembered by his large network of friends and colleagues as a generous, charismatic, family man and grandfather who was also dedicated to his community. His passion for the pursuit of life’s joys was fueled by his gratitude for surviving Type 1 diabetes for 63 years. Some of his favorite activities included sailing, photography, motorcycle touring and world travel. For his 60th birthday, he and his beloved wife, Martha, jumped from an airplane. In recent years, Bill loved volunteering at WKGC as deejay “Boomer Bill”. His weekly radio show shared his love of Rock n Roll.
Bill is survived by his wife, Martha, daughters Gayle and Andrea; grandchildren Zachary, Camryn, and Seth; and siblings Thomas, Robert, and Janet and their families. Services for Bill will be held at a later date in Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association in his name.
