Blanche Jansenius

Our precious and loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and best friend passed away peacefully July 22, 2014, at Sacred Heart Bay Medical at the age of 94. She was born in Chipley, FL to Agnes and Mance Sapp. Blanche was retired from the Bay County School Board, and had been a resident of Bay County for 76 years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and the Devotions Sunday School Class. Blanche enjoyed the Home League of the Salvation Army, and attended every Tuesday until her death. She loved plants and nature, and spent many hours each day caring for her plants and those all around Mathison Retirement Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Jansenius; daughter; Agnes McNiel; and sister, Ollie Mae Duncan.

Survivors include her son, Robert Jansenius; daughter, Gwen Lundgard (Jack), both of Panama City; sister, Edna Merle Odom of Chipley, FL; a brother, Jack Willard Sapp (Eva) of Fayetteville, NC; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2014, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00.  The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and all of her wonderful friends at Mathison Retirement Center where she was a resident for the last 10 years. She loved all of you.

Serving as pallbearers are Brian Williams, Billy McNiel, Lance McNiel,  Chris Dohanyos, Donnie Partlow, and Bruce Summers.
