Dian Robinson

Dian Robinson, 62 of Panama City, passed away April 23, 2017 at Health South Rehab Hospital in Panama City, FL. Dian was born June 9, 1954 in Defuniak Springs, FL to Jerry & Jean (Smith) Robinson and moved to Panama City in 1959 coming from Pensacola, FL. Dian attended Bay High School and graduated from Woodward Academy in College Park, GA in 1972. She attended Emory University and graduated from Atlanta Art Institute with a degree in graphic design. Dian pursued her passion for art and spent several years working as a graphic artist for a company in Athens, GA. She then returned to Panama City and was selected to become one of the pioneer female insurance agents with State Farm Insurance when she opened her agency, Dian Robinson Insurance Agency, Inc. She was a member of the Panama City Insurance Agents Association and a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. She is survived by her parents, Jerry & Jean Robinson of Panama City; her sister, Teresa (John) Gooding of Panama City; her nephew, Adam (Cristine) Kirk of Jacksonville, FL; her aunt, Roberta (Steve) Brooks of Killeen, TX; her cousin, Stephanie Brooks of Killeen, TX; a close family friend, Theresa (Jerry) Fountain and their family of Defuniak Springs, FL and the joy of her life, her two Shih Tzu dogs, Zeba & Zara. Friends will be received Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place 11 am Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations in Dian’s memory, to Humane Society of Bay County.
