Juliette Helene Reith

December 16, 1927 ~ December 31, 2017 (age 90) 90 Years Old

Juliette Helene Reith passed away December 31, 2017. She died of natural causes. Her husband of 61 years, Charles, preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Colette Morrow and Steven Reith and is wife, Gail; grandchildren, Vincent Morrow, Savanna Reith and Christopher Reith; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Reith and Timothy Reith. Born December 16, 1927 in LeMans, Sarthe, France; the 2nd of 13 children of Auguste Leopold Hatet and Helene Marie Taverson. She was raised on a small farm where, during WWII, she saw German troops enter and occupy her town. She and her siblings survived the bombs and battles of war. Though petite in size, she was a courageous women whose strength of character lead her to immigrate to the United States. At the age of 18, not able to speak English, she left the comfort of her family and native land to start a new life in America, where she became a naturalized citizen. Juliette and Charles were married in Charles' hometown, Pinckneyville, Illinois. Prior to permanently settling in Panama City, Florida they spent 25+ years moving around the world on various military assignments. During these nomadic, military years she raised her children always providing a warm and loving home……no small feat considering the frequency of moves. Her first priority was always her family. Her hobby and passion was antiques, in which she was able to indulge during their European assignments. She loved animals and contributed to numerous organizations committed to their care and protection. Juliette’s and Charles’ ashes will be interred together at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
