LONNIE EDWARD FORAN

Lonnie Edward Foran, 82, of Brannonville, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Covenant Care at Bay Medical Center. Lonnie was born in Bay County to Jessie and Josephine Foran. He moved to Jackson County as a child, returning in 1956 to work at the Paper Mill, where he proudly worked for 49 years. Lonnie enjoyed fishing with his friend Ray Tolbert for many years. He also loved hunting and raising vegetables for his family and friends. Lonnie was a member of the Brannonville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Edward Foran, his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Louise Foran; his sons, Marvin Foran (Lori) of Tallahassee and Roger Foran (Janice) of Newport, PA; his brothers, Jessie Foran of Marianna and Charlie Foran of Alford; 6 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Lonnie will begin at 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Rayburn officiating. The family will receive friends at the Chapel from 4:00 PM until service time at 5:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Covenant Hospice or to a charity of your choice in memory of Lonnie Edward Foran.
