My deepest condolences to your family. I was saddened to hear of Uncle Bill's passing & will be praying for God's comfort to surround you all. Glad you're close to help comfort one another. I met Mr. Haisten at the age of 16 while working at Piggly Wiggly #1 in the Howards Shopping Center. He was the “Tea Man,” but he was also much more than that. He was the man that made you smile and feel good about yourself. He was so well liked everyone wanted to talk with him. While stocking shelves I would move closer to where he would be working and patiently wait my turn. Eventually I would get the chance to move in and talk fishing. He would listen to my stories with great interest. I was 16 at the time and it made me feel special. He made everyone feel good about themselves. He never left the store without looking me up and seeing how I was doing. You don’t forget those kinds of feelings. As an adult when I would leave Howell’s, I would walk back to my truck with that special feeling inside and a smile on my face. What a wonderful man! God bless everyone.

Uncle Bill's flounder surprise was the greatest dish ever. I have so many great memories of fishing with him as a kid. He will be missed so much. Steve Wilder
