We have known Willie since the late 1960's. We are the Georgia folks that bought a house and lot next to them on Maple Avenue. When we were growing up and would come to visit Panama City, Willie's kids and I would get out on the old sand road of Maple Avenue and play softball. We hit many of a ball into the street drain to never be seen again. In 1999, we started coming back to Panama City and visiting alot of the churches and was seeing Ed and Willie at many of the different churches. We soon realized who Willie was and was glad to get back in touch after away so long. My mother went home to be with the Lord in 1974 and i started singing with Edith Smith. Edith and I both really loved being around Willie and Ed. We enjoyed being in church with them and they enjoyed our singing and music. We will really miss seeing Willie every time we get to come down to Panama City, but know we will get to see her again where we will never have to part again. Willie really loved the Lord and loved being in church. She has completed her journey here on earth, now it is up to us to make sure we do all we can to make it to Heaven also. Willie has no pain nor suffering now and is in the presence of The Lord.. We will be seeing her again and we worshiping, praising, exalting our Lord and Saviour - Jesus Christ throughout all eternity. . We will never again have to part but will in the presence of God forever. We will have all of Willie's family in our prayers. Remembering her at PineLog Community Church, she always enjoyed loving Jesus and worshiping him. She would tell me, "won't be long and I will be in heaven with your mother". She is there now and I know they are worshiping Jesus together. We will truly miss her.
