Emma Ball Harden, 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, in Panama City Beach, Florida on April 5, 2014.
Emma was born in Boone County, WV on January 2, 1936. She was the beloved wife and best buddy of Robert Harden, her husband of 58 years. Robert is from Cadiz, Ohio, and graduated from Cadiz High School in 1951.
In addition to Robert, she is survived by her daughters; Katherine Petersen & husband Stephen, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Carol Menzie & partner Jeffrey Jacks of Panama City Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, Wesley & Molly Petersen, Larry & Seth Menzie, and great-granddaughter, Carleigh Menzie. Emma is also survived by her mother, Mina Ball, of Julian WV, her brother Frederick Ball & wife Virginia, of Ramage, WV, her sister Wilma Ball of Parkersburg, WV, and her brother Ralph Ball of Altamonte Springs, Florida; also numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cyril Ball, and her sister Marilyn, of Boone County, WV. Emma loved to travel and have a good time where ever she went. She had a way of making others in her life, feel very special and much loved. She will leave a void "as big as the ocean", and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Celebration of her life will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy in her honor, be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 2925 Hwy. 77 North, Panama City, Florida 32405.
