MILFORD TAYLOR

Milford Taylor, 88, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 26, 2017. Milford was born in Roopville, GA, and lived in Panama City since 1975. He retired from the US Air Force as a SMSGT after 27 years service. After his military career, Milford was an independent trucker, and worked for McKenzie Truck Lines for over 23 years. He was a longtime, faithful member and volunteer at the Jenks Avenue Church of Christ, and loved his church family very much. Milford enjoyed yardwork, reading and traveling, and served as a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances and a son, Richard Byron Taylor.

Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Enfinger of Panama City; his sister Barbara Smith (Leon) of Buford, GA; a brother, James Taylor of Gainesville, GA; his Lady Friend, Lee Smith of Panama City; nieces, Brenda Biller (Paul), Judy Wilder (Thom) and Cathy Duncan; and a nephew, Charles Duncan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the Jenks Avenue Church of Christ with Jack Reese and Daniel Cherry officiating. Interment with military honors offered by the US Air Force honor guard will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Milford's name may be made to either the Jenks Avenue Church of Christ or The American Cancer Society. Special thanks are extended to his church family, and the staff at Covenant Hospice.
