Odean Minnie Anderson-Shank

September 19, 2017, our beloved mother, Odean “Totsy” Youngblood Anderson, was called home to a place of perfect health. She spoke of Heaven often and was looking forward to joining her loved ones there. Odean was born March 23, 1926 in Southport, Florida to Ernest Youngblood and Viney Gilmore Youngblood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Anderson. Odean is survived by her daughters, Sandy Moore (Wayne), Judy Radke (Ron), and Susan Warren (Glenn); her grandchildren, Justin Andersson, Heather Rich (Aaron), Heath Radke, and Michael Riffee; and her great-grandchildren, Vivienne Rich and Adele Rich. Odean was 91 years old and a life-long resident of Bay County, Florida. She graduated from Bay County High School in 1946 and attended Gulf Coast Community College. She was in business for 70 years, renting houses in the St Andrews area of Bay County. She attended St Andrews Methodist Church and First Church of the Nazarene. She was a student of the Bible and encouraged many people with her Christian witness. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, antiquing, gardening, reading, and spending time with family. Odean's family would like to thank family and friends for their prayers and support; her special friend, Jeanette Davis; and the many physicians, nurses, and aides who treated, attended, and gave comfort to our mother. Honorary pallbearers include Walter H Ellis, Clifton Gilmore, Jimmy Gilmore, Lloyd Gilmore, Howard Lovett, James McFatter, Joe Perry and HT Waller. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 24, at Greenwood Cemetery in Panama City, Florida. Officiating will be Dr. John Friedman. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting Odean’s family with arrangements.
