Senior Master Sgt. (USAF, Ret.), William D. Hale, 85, of Panama City, passed away Sept. 20, 2017 at Bay Medical Center. William was born Feb. 27, 1932 in Alto, Ark. to Clarence and Iva (Stice) Hale and moved to Panama City in 1962, coming from Bermuda. William served his country for more than 20 years and is a Vietnam War veteran. He is also retired from Marshall Volkswagen of Panama City with 20 years of employment. William is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nora; his children, William (Rose) Hale, Jr. of North Las Vegas, Brenda (Mac) Hale Corbitt of Panama City and Timothy (Natalie) Hale of Southern Pines, N.C.; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Maria) Hale of North Las Vegas, Casey (Adam) Dowgul of Panama City Beach and Zachary Hale of Crawfordville, Fla. and his great-grandchildren, Justin and Isabella Hale both of North Las Vegas and Alex Dowgul of Panama City Beach. Friends will be received Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in William’s memory to the American Diabetes Association. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting William’s family with arrangements.
